Vijaygarh fort is located in the Sonbhadra district located 30 km from Robertsganj in the Southeast direction. Vijayford fort was built in the early Medieval period according to the records. Maharaja Vijay Pal, who was a Rajput King reconstructed and renovated by him. Presently Vijaygarh fort has become one of the prominent tourist places in India. It is the oldest place and has interested people a lot.

The very last ruler of this fort is Raja Chait Singh of Banaras. Raja Chait Singh ruled this place until the Britishers reached India. It is also said that another fort is also hidden under this fort.

इस किले के अंतिम शासक बनारस के राजा चैत सिंह हैं। अंग्रेजों के भारत पहुंचने तक राजा चैत सिंह ने इस स्थान पर शासन किया। कहा तो यह भी जाता है कि इस किले के नीचे एक और किला भी छुपा हुआ है।

किला भी आकर्षक है क्योंकि किले में बड़ी संख्या में मंदिर पाए जाते हैं, मुख्य प्रवेश द्वार के पास सैय्यद जैन-उल-अदीन मीर साहिब का मकबरा है जो हजरत मीरान शाह बाबा के नाम से भी लोकप्रिय है।
