10th Public Examination
In India, the Board examination is known as Public Examination. This Public Examination is conducted at the end of the 10th and at the end of the 12th. Class 10th examination is called Secondary State Certificate and 12th Higher Secondary Certificate Examinations. SSC and HSEC exams are managed and conducted by boards of different states.
10th Public Examination is generally held at the end of February or in March beginning. The examination of different states does not happen simultaneously because the syllabus differs. The result for 10th Public Examination is out in around April and May.
10th public Examination offers various subjects. Class 10 Public Examination students give exams in five main subjects which are English, Hindi/ other languages of India, Information Technology, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. There is also an optional subject as a sixth subject which includes Physical Education, Fine Arts, Computer Science, Information Technology, Music and Foreign Language etc.

All the examination for 10th Public Examination takes place simultaneously across the country, the examination held under security. Question papers are distributed by overseeing Board of Education and its contents are guided closely.
The candidates are allotted admit cards to enter for the board examinations and present this to the staff at the time of the examination site. The site is not the same school where the student belongs and the staff is all not at the same school where the examination is going on. The admit card number is the identification number of the student.
All the answer sheets are collected and sent to overseeing Board of Examination. CBSE Board has its regional offices in every state and these answer sheets are sent there for correction. CBSE Board has 10 regional offices in different states.
